    • I am fairly new to reading robin Hobb’s books (after having read her own positive review of one of Abercrombie’s books, I thought I’d give hers a go). I started with Assassin’s Apprentice, am now reading Royal Assassin and have become a fan. I would dearly love to win some of her books.

  1. I am a great fan or Robin Hobb, one of my favorite authors. The Farseer Trilogy is my favorite all-time fantasy series. The Tawny Man Trilogy is another! FitzChivalry Farseer is a hero who isn’t perfect. He has flaws and makes mistakes, and yet Hobb makes us love him and want to see more of him. And we do in the Tawny Man Trilogy. But my heart belonged to another in the later trilogy. Who’s heart, I wonder, didn’t go out to the Fool in The Tawny Man Trilogy?

I was thrilled with Robin’s Live Ship Traders Trilogy. It was brilliant how she linked her story with The Farseer Trilogy and the Tawney Man Trilogy! Then she followed it with The Rainwild Chronicles and I was in heaven. I love dragons to begin with, but Robin created a new myth about dragons. All of her stories are re-readable, and more importantly, memorable. I will always remember the wonder and excitement of her fantasy stories! I love Robin Hobb and her stories!

  2. Darn, missed it! I have her series in my cart for later, but haven’t decided if she’d be my cup of tea or not.

I LOVE Kim Harrison, and mostly like female authors of scifi/fantasy, so I may someday check her out – I do wish I could have won her books instead though!

  3. Thank you for giving us a chance to win these remarkable series. Robin Hobb is a fantastic author and I am happy to to have had a chance to read each and every one.

  4. Nooooooo I just found out about this! Is it to late to enter? I hope not, Hobb is my favorite author and would love to celebrate her birthday by winning some copies that I can eventually pass on to others!

  5. This is perfect! The Assassin books are among my all-time favorite fantasy novel series (and I read tons of fantasy, check out my Goodreads account if you don’t believe me). But I love the LiveShip Traders books even more. I can’t believe I haven’t read the Rain Wilds chronicles yet so this is the perfect opportunity!

  6. I LOVE Robin Hobb! My favorite, though I love them ALL, is the Liveship Traders trilogy. I’d love to have a set Rain Wilds books. Maybe you’ll pick me. Thanks for the opportunity.

  7. I love these books so much! Some of my favorites! I started with the Liveship Traders years ago and was thrilled to discover what happened next!

  8. What a fantastic giveaway!!! I’ve never read the books but have heard so much about them and would LOVE to win so I could read them :)

  9. Been a huge fan for years, haven’t read the Rain Wild Chronicles yet. Looking forward to new adventures of Fitz and the Fool!

  10. I absolutely love this series and it was wonderful to get to meet you last year when you came to the Beaverton Oregon Powell’s for a book signing. Happy belated Birthday!!

  11. I tried Assassin’s Apprentice one night because my kids were reading it. It was a great book, but I started the next two books earlier in the day to survive the straight-through sessions. I’d like the Rain Wild books so I’ m preparing by getting lots of sleep ahead of time.

  12. A new author to meet. Thank you for the opportunity to try a new author/series. I could use something other than cold and snow.

  13. I absolutely love all of the books set in that world. Each series left me wanting more. I’m still hoping for a series dealing with the Tawny Man’s home country!

  14. I love the assissin series and can’t wait for the new book to come out in August! I haven’t read this series but I’d love to give it a try. Thanks for this opportunity!

  15. I have become infatuated with the Liveship Traders trilogy! What really stuck with me was the changing roles of the characters. For example, I wanted to dislike Kyle Haven and Mara in the beginning, but they both grew on me so quickly!

  16. Robin Hobb is one of my favorite authors! I love the Farseer, Tawny Man, RainWIlds and Soldier Son trilogies!!

  17. I can’t wait for August when Fool’s Assassin comes out! In the mean time, I’d love to win this! Thanks:)

  18. Giveaway entry commencing. I’ve enjoyed the bit of Assassin’s Apprentice I’ve read so far, so this works out nicely.

    Thanks for doing the giveaway.

  19. I LOVE dragons and fantasy series!!!! Would totally love to read these Robin Hobb books I have heard nothing but great things! Would love to win.

  20. Robin Hobb rocks my socks!!!!! My mom and I started reading her books when I was in 8th grade, and we’ve both been addicted to them ever since. The Farseer trilogy is probably one of the best series I’ve ever read, and I was ecstatic to find out about the following Tawny Man trilogy. (Who doesn’t love the Fool?!) <– Probably one of my favorite characters of all time; I love that there are recurring appearances of this character in so many awesome roles. EVERYONE should read Hobb's works! Thank you for the opportunity (and thanks to Robin Hobb for posting about this on Facebook, or I would never have known about this giveaway)! Going to go reread The Liveship Traders trilogy!

  21. All great books! I have read through so many copies I could use replacements. Anxiously awaiting the next installments!!

    • I totally agree! My Assassin’s Apprentice book fell apart, so I had to buy a new one and I decided to pick up the trilogy for my friend’s dad while I was at it!

  22. Once I discovered Robin Hobb, I hooked my sister and my daughter on the series. She is an incredible writer, and her books are a guaranteed good read.

  23. I have collected Robin Hobb’s books for many years. I would love to win this set, because it is missing from my collection.

  24. Pingback: And a Chance at Free Books from Harper Voyager US! Hurry! « Robin Hobb

  25. I’m so hooked on the realm of the elderlings. I just need the last three books of the rain wilds and I’ll be all caught up. CANT WAIT!!! till Fools Assassin!

  26. I’m a long-time Robin Hobb fan! I currently have 15 of her books in my library, and I get excited every time I hear about another one coming out.

And I’m not just one of her readers. As an author myself, I’m an admirer of her writing skills. (I’m an indie author, with three fantasy books out and another expect to go live this spring). I’d love to be able to write like Robin Hobb!

  27. I am ashamed to say that I JUST discovered Robin Hobb a month ago and have been steadily reading her ever since then! I am now on the Liveship Traders trilogy and will read the Tawny Man next. I would LOVE to win these books!

  28. I’m not really a “fantasy” reader per se, nevertheless, I’ve read everything by Robin Hobb. She really knows how to tell a story!

  29. “Dragons aren’t the bad guys! They are wise and beautiful. Help save them. ” That’s my rant; in video games, in books, in movies. Robin Hobb has a whole series where dragons need our help, naturally I wanna read about saving the dragons!!! Thanks, you guys , for this opportunity. Gooooooooo Dragons!!

  30. Robin Hobb is responsible for many of my lost hours, sunk deep in her words and worlds. I’d love to spend even more hours lost there if I won these books!

  31. I would really love to win these. I’ve been itching to read some new fantasy books. It’s been too long! These look perfect!

  32. I have read all Robin’s books, and I have been a fan since her first book Assassin’s apprentice came out. I would love these books, and treasure them,

  33. I’m not commenting because I expect to win, but because I want to support Robin Hobb; I appreciate her work very much.

  34. I haven’t read past the first book of the Rain Wild series (yet), but I’m really excited about Fool’s Assassin!

  35. In the process of starting the whole saga over again, but I only own up to the Tawny set- would love to be able to rejoice in furthering the tale with the Rain Wilds addition!

  36. I love the novels I have read by Robin Hobb so far! I haven’t read the Rain Wilds Chronicles but I also wouldn’t mind reading the Farseer Trilogy again!

  37. Whenever I read Robin Hobb, her work haunts me for days. She’s a writer that has the rare power of imbuing her characters with such life that they follow you around for days after you’ve stopped reading. I love all her work – from early novels published under Megan Lindholm and on! I would love to win this.

  38. Robin Hobb is my favorite author. My Dad introduced me to the books and every time I finished one we would sit down and discuss it together. I have yet to read this series though and would love to add it to my growing book collection!

  39. “I do not know whom I wish to win; until I do, I will let no player be eliminated.”
-Robin Hobb (in regards to this) ;)
-haha, actually it is a quote from Jonqui (Assassin’s Apprentice)
:D In all seriousness though, this is awesome!

  40. My wife and I love Robin’s books! We’ve even started reading them to our daughter. We would love these to round out our collection even more!
